Dermolan™ GLH is an ethoxylated glycerol ether ester with proper balance between the hydrophobichydrophilic (moieties) to become a self-emulsifiable ester. Also, the presence of hydrophobic moity (the hydroxystearic acid) gives it a soft, buttery consistency similar to natural lanolin and enhances Dermolan™ GLH's ability to build viscosity in aqueous systems. The ether moity, the hydroph8lic radical, enhances its coupling ability in hydro-alcoholic systems and enables it to become an o/w or w/o emulsifier. These exceptional qualities can be exploited in many cosmetic applications such as skin, cream, lotions and hair care products.
