Altivia Methyl Isobutyl Ketone (MIBK) is a stable, colorless liquid with a pleasant odor. It is both a medium boiling and medium evaporating solvent commonly used by the industrial paints and coatings industry in the production of traffic paints and automotive coatings, nitrocellulose lacquers, and vinyl-acrylic resins for adhesives. MIBK is also used as an extraction solvent for tall oil soap purification. Methyl Isobutyl Ketone is also referred to as 4-methylpentan-2-one.

Altivia Octanoyl Chloride (OTCL) is a colorless to light yellow liquid with a pungent mustard-like odor. Hydrolyzes in the presence of water.

Altivia Diisobutyl Ketone, High Purity (DIBK-HP) is a colorless, stable liquid with a mild sweet odor. DIBK is a high-boiling, slowevaporating solvent that has limited water solubility, but is miscible with alcohols and ketones. DIBK has excellent viscosity reduction for and reduces surface tension in high solid’s coatings. DIBK has good volume-to-weight advantage over other classes of solvents used in coatings. DIBK is a non-HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutant) solvent. Diisobutyl Ketone is also referred to as DIBK; isobutyl ketone; 2,6 dimethyl-4-heptanone; s-diisopropylacetone; isovalerone; valerone.

Altivia Alpha-Methylstyrene (AMS) is a colorless liquid organic chemical used to produce a wide variety of styrenic polymers. AMS adds heat resistance to ABS resins which can be found in automotive parts, electronic appliance housings and protective coatings. AMS is also used to improve the impact and heatresistant properties of certain polymers, including specialty grades of plastic, rubber, and adhesives. AMS is used in the production of para-cumylphenol, a specialty intermediate for thermoplastics and polycarbonate resins.
