Ucecoat 7156 is characterized by :
- appearance translucent to blueish to white/emulsion.
- low viscosity.
- a tacky coating after water evaporation and before UV curing. This tacky material is re- emulsifiable and can be reused after filtration.
- very good compatibility and easy to formulate.
UV/EB cured products based on Ucecoat 7156 are characterized by the following properties :
- high flexibility and hardness
- excellent adhesion on wood
- outstanding wood wetting
- low yellowing
The actual properties of UV cured products also depend on the selection of the other formulation components, such as reactive diluent(s), additives and photoinitiators

Formulated UV curable products containing Ucecoat 7156 may be applied by spray-, curtain and roller coater methods. Ucecoat 7156 is recommended for use in :
- wood primer.
- clear and pigmented wood coatings.
- top coat for wood furniture and doors.
- as binder in other industrial applications

- Storage and Handling
- Care should be taken not to expose radiation curable products to temperatures exceeding 40°C for prolonged periods or to direct sunlight. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the product with generation of heat. Due to presence of water, Ucecoat 7156 needs to be stored above freezing temperatures.
- Storage and handling should be in stainless steel, amber glass or amber polyethylene lined containers.
- Do not store this material under an oxygen free atmosphere.
- Use dry air to displace material removed from the container. This material should not be stored for more than 6 months.
