Padinami® Antiaging Active

One of Alban Muller’s tested active moisturizing ingredients, Padinami^® takes its name from its main ingredient: Padina, a small brown seaweed harvested in the temperate waters of the Mediterranean, more specifically on the island of Malta.

The brown seaweed extract from Padina is highly valued in cosmetics for its moisturizing, regenerating and restructuring properties. It restores the skin’s firmness and elasticity.

In addition to the active firming ingredients, brown seaweed extract is a key ingredient in anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products. Given its moisturizing properties, it is also incorporated in skin care for dry, sensitive and damaged skin.

As an added benefit, the antioxidant properties of Padina may also be used in creams for stressed skin.

The active ingredients of Padinami^® stimulate the natural synthesis of hyaluronic acid, one of the main components of the extracellular matrix, protecting the skin’s anti-wrinkle properties.

The brown seaweed extract’s active ingredients also stimulate the synthesis of other glycosaminoglycans: GAGs.

Glycosaminoglycans are carbohydrate macromolecules contributing to the retention of water molecules and the formation of a viscous gel resistant to mechanical stresses.

By stimulating the synthesis of GAGs, the skin regains all its elasticity and resistance.

Similarly, the optimization of the skin’s overall hydration allows it to effectively fight signs of time and fatigue. The skin is firmer and more plump.
