Tuftec™ is a hydrogenated styrene butadiene block copolymer (SEBS). It is characterized by outstanding weatherability and thermal stability, as well as superior elastomeric characteristics.

S.O.E.™ is a hydrogenated styrene butadiene block copolymer (SEBS) with special polymer structure. It is characterized by excellent damping property, low resilience, anti abrasion property, anti scratch resistance. It is also characterized by good compatibility to polar resins.

TUFPRENE™ and ASAPRENE™T are styrene-butadiene block copolymers, widely recognized and proven as styrenic thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) with excellent elastomeric characteristics, compatibility with polystyrene and other polymers, and processing characteristics.

Tufprene™ A SBS is the basic grade in the broad range of styrene-butadiene block copolymers from Asahi Kasei. A styrenic thermoplastic elastomer with superior elasticity, styrenic resins compatibility, moldability, adhesive performance, and asphalt blend characteristics. It is supplied in pellet form.

TUFPRENE™ A SBS

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ H1221 is specially designed as a modifier to increase flexibility of polypropylene (PP). Its excellent compatibility makes H1221 ultra-finely dispersed into PP. PP and H1221 blends provide transparent PP sheets and films with excellent flexibility and resistance to hazing or whitening on bending. The excellent adhesion is suitable for the use of adhesive layer of protective films with hot-melt and pressure sensitive characteristics. H1221 meets USP Class Ⅵ standards. It may be used for medical applications after a special agreement with Asahi Kasei.

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ P5051 is a selectively hydrogenated polymer. It is used as a compatibilizer of PS and PP blends or as an impact modifier of GPPS, HIPS and PPE.

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ M1943 is a maleic anhydride modified SEBS. It enables modification of engineering plastics such as polyamide (PA) or polyester (PEs). It can be used as an adhesive to metals and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) . It is also used as a compatibilizer of PS or olefinic resins and polar resins.

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ H1052 shows moderate adhesion and is good for adhesive layer of protective films by multi-layer extruding process or easy peel films. It is also used as an impact modifier of polypropylene (PP). Its excellent stretch property provides stretch films such as food wrapping film.

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ H1041 is good for easy peel film application. It can be also used as a modifier for a variety of plastics with its superior balance of mechanical property and melt flowability.

Asahi Kasei S.O.E.™ S1609 can improve resilience, abrasion resistance and anti-abrasion property for TPO, EVA, and EEA.

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ H1521 is particularly designed as a modifier to increase flexibility of polypropylene (PP). Its excellent compatibility makes H1521 super-finely dispersed into PP. PP and H1521 blends provides transparent and flexible extruded products such as sheets, films and tubes. The blends are also applicable to injection molding due to its high MFR. It has excellent adhesion, which is suitable for the use of adhesive layer of protective films with hot-melt and pressure sensitive characteristics. H1521 meets USP Class Ⅵ standards. It may be used for medical applications after a special agreement with Asahi Kasei.

Asahi Kasei Tuftec™ P1500 is a selectively hydrogenated polymer. It is good as a base polymer for pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA). It has excellent compatibility with a variety of tackifiers. With blending tackifier and white oil, it provides solvent-borne as well as hot-melt adhesives. It is particularly suitable for hot-melt adhesive with low viscosity and good thermal stability.
