Afcona 5585

High molecular weight polyurethane block copolymer with pigment affinity groups.

Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment:
Universal colorant:

• Inorganic pigment :5 - 10%
• Organic pigment :10 - 20%
• Primer/Under coat :0.5-1.5% on total formula

AFCONA - 5585 should be added prior to the pigment grinding process.

AFCONA – 5585 is an all-new designed water based polyurethane dispersant. It is suit for preparation of solvent and water based pigment concentrate. It also can be used in water based industrial coating as main dispersant.

The properties and applications of AFCONA5585 as below:
1) AFCONA-5585 can stabilize carbon blacks and all organic pigments when used as main dispersant, It also can be used to disperse TiO2 and other inorganic pigments.
2) AFCONA-5585 is not only soluble in water but also in organic solvent. So the concentrate can be prepared in solvent systems, such as long oil alkyd and etc. And It can be applied in architectural decorations.
3) AFCONA-5585 is VOC-free, and evironment friendly.
4) AFCONA-5585 can be used to grind whitemaster batch, and it also can help the preparation of other colorant on sell, and to reduce or even solve the problems of color seperation. Note: AFCONA – 5585 will become hazy at temperature 5C or below. Heat up to 50°C and mix well before use. This will not influence the quality

AFCONA-5585 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 3 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
