Afcona 4067

Modified polyurethane polymer.

Calculation method for the required amount of AFCONA-4067 on pigment:

• TiO2 : 2 - 3%
• Other inorganic pigments : 2 - 4%
• Organic pigments : 20 - 40%
• Carbon blacks : 20 - 60% 

AFCONA-4067 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.

AFCONA-4067 is BTX free version of a high molecular weight dispersing agent. This dispersant is very effective in inorganic pigments, organic pigments and carbon black dispersion preparation; due to it very effective 3 dimensional steric hindrances designed that lead to good stability for all pigments. This is a very good dispersant for organic red, yellow and violet pigments. AFCONA – 4067 is specially design for all solvent based system where it gives very good viscosity reduction, pigment stability and improvement of color strength.

AFCONA – 4067 has below special properties and recommended in below systems:
1) AFCONA – 4067 is the modification from our existing PU series dispersant where it has both excellent performances in viscosity reduction and compatibility.
2) AFCONA - 4067 is recommended for all high quality industrial paints. However for acid catalysis system, it may have some sensitivity towards the common used acid catalysts.
3) The adaptation of AFCONA – 4067 to paint systems polarities are excellent, therefore it is highly recommended to use in pigment concentrates preparation for low to high polar paint systems.
4) With all above advantages mentioned above, AFCONA – 4067 also does not contain any aromatic solvents like xylene, Toluene and Benzene (BTX Free) Note: AFCONA – 4067 will become slightly hazy at temperature 5°C and below, but this will not influent the quality.

AFCONA-4067 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
