Special acrylic polymer with very good defoaming effect

• AFCONA-3775 is an acrylic polymer tailor made for those applications that need good leveling as well as high defoaming effect like coil coatings and other foam sensitive systems. It is recommended as non-silicone leveling agent where silicone is not permitted due to intercoat adhesion problem.
• AFCONA-3775:
  1) Next to the fast initial leveling it also improve the last stage leveling (before the coating become not flowable anymore)
  2) prevents foam formation
  3) works as deareator and defoamer
  4) does not interfere with intercoat adhesion
• Most leveling agent stabilized foam due to good compatibility and low surface tension. However AFCONA – 3775 come with strong defoaming property as well as a very good leveling agent.
• It is suitable for all solvent-based coatings, especially for:
  1) All paint systems applied by roller or dipping, that needs next to a good leveling a strong defoaming performance without crater formation, like coil coatings and can coatings.
  2) Sometime recommended to combine with AFCONA – 3670 or AFCONA – 3700 to further improve substrate wetting and anti-crater properties
  3) 2 pack PU coatings and epoxies
  4) All baking paints
  5) Matt finished wood coatings and sealers.
  6) Not suitable for unpigmented high gloss systems, because due to the high defoaming effect, it will give in-can haziness.

Addition and dosage
0.5 – 2.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.5 – 1.0% based on total formulation
Incorporation
AFCONA-3775 should be added at the end of the batch preparation
