Afcona 3250

Special organically modified polysiloxane.

0.05 – 0.50% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.10 – 0.30% based on total formulation.

AFCONA-3250 can be added at any stage of production process.

AFCONA-3250 is special developed for all solvent based systems where the slip is the most important factor and foam stabilizing effect is undesired. AFCONA – 3250 belong the the same family AFCONA – 3230. AFCONA-3230 effective only in polyurethane coating but AFCONA-3250 effective in all solvent based coating. Most polysiloxane with good transparency stabilize foam, or, when not stabilizing foam affect the transparency of the coating. Thus AFCONA-3250 fulfillll all the needs of most paint formulators where it gives very good slip, no foam stabilizing effect and good transparency.

Duo to the excellent properties of AFCONA3250 is very suitable for use in:
1) all wood coatings like NC, Acid curing, PU, and UV. Slip is always one of the most important measurements for wood coatings.
2) Top coats in plastic coating applications like mobile phone and those plastic items that frequently touched by our hand. In these applications, slip is very important.
3) UV coatings, where is gives very good slip and leveling without influence the clarity of the paint film.
4) Refinish topcoat that based on polyurethane.
5) Other paint systems where high slip is desired. AFCONA-3250 is a very suitable leveling agent in epoxies as it will not stabilized foam but act as very good defoamer in such systems.
Note:AFCONA-3250 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5℃. This will not influence the quality.

AFCONA-3250 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
