AFCONA-2722 can be incorporated prior to processing. If added subsequently, good distribution must be insured.
- Addition and Dosage
0.5 - 1.5% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 1.0% for solvent-free system and 0.5% for solvent-based system, based on total formulation. For serious case combination of AFCONA – 2722 and AFCONA – 2038 at 1% each will solve most of the foam problem.

defoaming polymers. It produces rapid de-aeration and defoaming of solvent-free epoxy, polyurethane and some UPE systems. The silicone part is responsible for de-aeration and the non-silicone part is responsible for the anti-foam and defoaming. AFCONA-2722 also acts as a leveling agent, giving a smooth surface to the coating. In epoxy coating, combination with AFCONA – 2038 will increase the defoaming performance tremendously.
AFCONA – 2722 is recommended for:
1) Solvent-free as well as solvent containing 2 pack epoxies. For solvent-based epoxies, normally AFCONA – 2725 will perform better.
2) Solvent-free or High Build polyurethane systems.
3) Unsaturated polyesters
