GlucoSpike® is designed to reduce the amount of surfactant needed in formulations, while maintaining equal or better performance. GlucoSpike® stabilizes micelle formation, causing surfactants to micellize at lower concentrations. GlucoSpike® is compatible with nonionic, anionic, amphoteric, cationic, and biosurfactants.
GlucoSpike® is derived from yeast using a patented heat shock fermentation process. The yeast are provided specific inputs that induce their metabolism to produce co-surfactants as outputs. These co-surfactants are then harvested and stabilized, producing GlucoSpike®.- Benefits
- Sustainable and eco friendly
- Free of 1-4 Dioxane
- Biodegradable
- Suitable for use with most surfactants
- Low cost

- Applications
GlucoSpike® can be used to improve performance as well as lower cost in surfactant formulations. Typical use in formulations replaces 30%- 50% of the surfactant with GlucoSpike®. This ratio should be optimized based on the application.
- Uses
A true surfactant synergist or co-surfactant, Glucospike® is designed to be used with surfactants in cleaning formulations and agriculture adjuvants. It consists of yeast metabolites engineered to enhance surfactant performance through modification of micelle structures. Some of the primary benefits of using GlucosSpike® in formations are: increased performance, increased grease carrying capacity, lower toxicity/no 1,4 dioxane, lower cost compared to traditional surfactants. GlucoSpike® is US EPA Safer Choice approved, registered on the CleanGredients list, and also listed with ChemSpec.

Percentage actives: 100% yeast metabolites in their native state meaning no water added and no water removed. For formulation guideline purposes the percentage active of this material should be considered equal to the percentage active of the target surfactant of the integration.
IFT Test Shows a 30% CMC Reduction when Glucospike is combined with BASF Glucopon® 425N on a 1:1 Ratio

- Storage and Shelf Life
GlucoSpike® should be handled with protective face/eyewear and gloves. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Keep container tightly closed until ready for use. Store in cool, well ventilated place that is locked. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations. Do not reuse empty container. GlucoSpike® has a shelf life of 2 years.
