Addichem 8517 is a multifunctional crankcase oil additive package designed to meet the stringent API SN, API SM, or ACEA C3 gasoline engine oil requirements. It includes friction-reducing components for better fuel economy and active cleaning agents to control sludge and reduce turbocharger coking.

ADDICHEM 8517 package is developed for crankcase oils blended, with suitable VII, into Group II and Group III base stock at competitive treat rates. By design the package has a moderate Base Number, and the BN can be boosted further by incorporating a ADDICHEM 6262 range TBN booster. This technically advanced additive package, in combination with a ADDICHEM 5422 range Viscosity Index Improver, and a ADDICHEM 5922 range Pour Point Depressant, offers a robust performance against the requirements of API SN, API SM or ACEA C3.
