OXE-10 have different two polymerization moieties, radical and cationic polymerization moieties. OXE-10 is an acrylate analog. We can make cationic polymerizerable acrylic resin. It is well known that oxetane group has lower reactivity than epoxy group, however, we can use slight amount of epoxy group to accelerate of polymerization of oxetane group because its slowest step is ring opening reaction. We cannot offer glycidyl acrylate due to too much toxicity, so that OXE-10 is a one of the simplest structure for UV/cationic dual cure system.
