SYNTRAN® WA 1001 is a hard and high melting polyethylene wax emulsion. This wax emulsion is specially designed for OPV, ink and coating applications. It can improve the friction resistance and anti-blocking properties of the surface. SYNTRAN® WA 1001 can be combined with various water-based polymer dispersions. SYNTRAN® WA 1065 is based on a patented acrylic olefin graft technology. This unique incorporation of olefin into the backbone of the acrylic avoids natural migration of the generally lower-density wax to the surface during drying, resulting in better compatibility of the wax with acrylic systems and more uniform film application. Depending on the application and the objective, SYNTRAN® WA 1065 is typically used in concentrations between 2% and 10%. SYNTRAN® WA 1005 has excellent compatibility and is therefore very well suited for clear wood coatings to improve slip, scratch, abrasion and blocking resistance.
