- Pharmaceutical grade Calcium Acetate can be used as a phosphate binder to treat Hyperphosphatemia (elevated blood phosphorus levels), as well as in laboratory reagents and in the production of antiepileptic drugs. The product is FDA listed (DMF # 18997).
- The product is also used in fertilizers as a calcium source with a calcium (Ca) level of minimum 23.8% (33.4% expressed as CaO)
