Kolliwax® S

Kolliwax® S is a white to slightly yellowish waxy substance derived from natural resources, namely coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and/or palm stearine. Comprised of stearic acid 50, it serves as co-emulsifiers and consistency factors in topical pharmaceutical applications. Moreover, it has the potential to function as excipients in solid oral dosage forms, for instance, as matrix formers and lubricants. Its functions include acting as a co-emulsifier, stabilizer, and lubricant. This versatile substance is applicable in various dosage forms, such as creams, ointments, gels, and lotions.
