DOWSIL(TM) 7-3118 EBAP HIP Emulsion is a high internal phase emulsion of dimethicone crosspolymer in cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone intended to speed the development of skin care formulations containing these emollients. These emulsions have been prepared using a proprietary process to give a particle size similar to the silicone elastomer gels in the emulsion (average particle size 7 - 10 μ), and have been stabilized with nonionic surfactants to provide maximum compatibility in formulations that contain other surfactants.

XIAMETER(TM) OFX-8220 Fluid is an amino functional polydimethylsiloxane. The highly basic nature of the primary amine groups on trimethylsilylamodimethicone causes this silicone polymer to develop a net positive charge in aqueous systems over a wide pH range (approximately 1 to 10.5). XIAMETER(TM) MEM-1785 Emulsion is a 60% anionic emulsion of a high molecular weight dimethiconol for hair care applications. XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt is a high-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane polymer manufactured to yield essentially linear polymers in a wide range of viscosities. The viscosities generally used in formulating polishes are in the range of 100 to 30,000 cSt. It is preferable to use a blend of a low-viscosity fluid and a high-viscosity fluid (e.g. 3 parts XIAMETER(TM) PMX- 200 Silicone Fluid 100 cSt and 1 part XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt) to obtain optimum results in terms of ease of application and depth of gloss. The low-viscosity silicone fluid acts as a lubricant to make polish application and rubout easier, whereas the high-viscosity silicone fluid produces a greater depth of gloss. Since these polymers are inherently water-repellent, they will cause water to bead up on a treated surface rather than penetrate the polish film.
