Mighty Lube® Type MX Lubricant is a result of specialty chemicals being formulated to exceed all the characteristics of an excellent lubricant. Type MX consists of a solvent which acts as a cleaner, penetrator and carrier providing a pathway for the other components to work their way into the wear points. MoS2 and synthetic fluids act as the base for the lubricant. This provides a thin film which can stand up to a force in excess of 100,000 P.S.I. Other components include surfactants for water displacement and rust inhibitors for corrosion protection.
Type MX functions much as a penetrate, carrying to moving parts the synthetic fluids and moly base, after which eventually evaporates, leaving the base behind. The base provides essentially a dry lubricant of excellent film strength providing trouble free lubrication. Timed ejection by lubrication equipment controls the amount of lubricant used, thus eliminating under and over lubrication.
