high acid value. Filtrez 530 A has good solubility in alcohol and aqueous ammonia solutions, and is commonly used in solvent and water-based gravure and flexographic inks. Filtrez 575 A has characteristics similar to acrylic resins with regards to drying, transfer, gloss, and water resistance of the dry film. The enhanced performance is due to its basic chemical composition, which sets it apart from many other fumaric resins. This resin is particularly useful in non-alcohol, low VOC, water-based inks.
