Hauthane L-3786 is a self-crosslinking, aliphatic, water-based polyurethane dispersion designed for use in high performance concrete and wood floor coatings. Features: One-component, self-crosslinking polymer. High level of toughness, abrasion- and mar-resistance. Outstanding water and chemical resistance. Excellent exterior weathering performance. Contains dipropylene glycol dimethylether (DMM) co-solvent.

L-3786 employs a unique air-dry, self-crosslinking mechanism to impart chemical-resistance, abrasion-resistance and mar-resistance properties which equal or exceed those of two-component, water-based floor coating systems currently used in the market.

Product Applications
  • L-3786 can be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray, brush or roller applications.
  • Rheology modifications can be made with associative thickeners to optimize application properties.

Technical Details & Test Data

Drying

Ambient drying temperatures between 60 - 90° F are ideal to produce coatings with optimal film properties.

Coatings based on L-3786 require 3 - 5 days to achieve full performance properties, but floor applications are accessible by light foot traffic within 24 hours.
