T-Det® O-6 is used in all phases of detergent compounding and aqueous processing for the textile and paper industries, industrial metal cleaners, acid cleaners, floor cleaners, detergent-sanitizers and waterless hand cleaners. It is particularly useful for household and industrial controlled foam detergents. It is an effective emulsifier for solvents such as xylene.

T-Det® O-6 is cleared from a tolerance of 40 CFR 180.910, 180.920 when used as inerts in pesticide formulations.

- Storage, Stability and Handling Information
- T-Det® “O” nonionic surfactants are stable non-corrosive products in their anhydrous state.
- They can be stored in plain steel tanks with piping, valves, and pumps of the same metal.
- Aqueous solutions of T-Det® “O” surfactants must be stored in stainless steel or plastic lined tanks.
- The octyl phenol-ethylene oxide adducts are slightly hydroscopic.
- Where necessary, guard against atmospheric moisture pick-up, an inert gas blanket may be used.
- It should not be mixed with concentrated oxidizing or reducing agents since the mixture of these compounds with organic compounds could form a potentially explosive mixture.
