- Directions
- Complete stripping or scrubbing process as described on the labels of those products used to prepare floors for finishing.
- Place Stripper Stopper or other border containment materials in doorways and around unmoved fixtures.
- Pour Peak into mop bucket on the mop head to avoid splashing. Be sure mop head is totally submersed in the fl oor finish. Work in 20’ x 20’ sections to avoid overlapping the fi nish that is already drying.
- Apply finish in medium coats ( a slight milky trail should follow the mop head) using overlapping fi gure-8 motion.
- Allow 20 to 30 minutes drying time (time will vary with conditions). Do not force dry.
- When applying multiple coats avoid the baseboards except for the first and final coat.
- Materials Required
- Clean rayon fi nish mop head or Lambs wool applicator.
- Mop bucket lined with heavy duty can liner.
- Stripper Stoppers or 3” masking tape for border containment.
- Wet fl oor signs.
- Important Technique Tips
- Starting at the farthest point, work your way backward toward the exit.
- Each mop stroke should slightly overlap the previous stroke.
- Always pull the mop head forward. Never pick the mop head straight up.
- Do not use a fan to force dry the fi nish. Finish needs to dry naturally from the bottom up.
- Wait one hour after last coat to buff. Do not buff between coats.
- Do not pour unused fi nish back into its original container.
- Do not lay more than 6 coats in one application.
