    Clinical studies suggesthat sulforaphane increases the activity of Phase ll enzymes that inactivate harmful chemicals and increase the body's natural defense against joint inflammation. lt also provides protection against stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylory bacteria. These studies also showed that broccoli sprouts are one of the most concentrated sources of sulforaphane containing 20 to 50 times the amount that is found in the mature broccoli.
