Applications and Uses

Hydamer™ HCMS-LA/P is a cationic film former of marine origin. It is suitable to use as a fixative polymer in styling products, such as mousses, setting lotions and pump sprays. In addition, Hydamer™ HCMS-LA/P exhibits excellent repair effects on hair and can be used in hair conditioning lotions to treat split ends. The pH value of the final formulation must be less than 6.0. Hydamer™ HCMS-LA/P is not sensitive regarding high temperatures (80⁰C) and can be added before the emulsification to the hot water phase. The product is incompatible with all anionic combinations and limited with systems which must be neutralized with alkali.
