Features & Benefits
- Ready-to-Use Product Features
- Features
- The paint is intended for primers of light non-ferrous metals and iron.
- It is also suitable for coating steel under nitrocellulose and synthetic air-drying enamels.
- It is characterized by quick drying and excellent adhesion to various substrates.
- The paint is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed and drinking water and for coatings of children's furniture and toys.
- The paint may be used on surfaces that come into indirect contact with food, feed and drinking water.
- Anti-corrosion coating
- Excellent adhesion to steel and light metals
- Also suitable for nitrocombination and polyurethane coatings
Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Application Area
- Fields of Application
- Background: steel, iron, aluminum, brass, oxidized zinc
- Environment: interior, exterior - according to the paint system
- Examples: metal structures, door frames, fittings, window sills, gutters, car bodies, sheet metal roofs, steel castings, cast iron and sheet metal radiators for hot water heating.
- Dilution
S 6005 (brush, roller), C 6000 (spray)
- Preparation of the Substrate
- The substrate must be clean, dry, free of grease, rust and dust, mechanically cleaned.
- First degrease with a suitable agent: e.g. white spirit P 6402, acetone P 6401 or warm pressurized water containing detergent.
- Rinse off the remains of various salts with clean water.
- Remove coarse and well-adherent dirt by grinding or scraping, thoroughly remove rust (with metal brushes, grinding disks or cutters). After using the cutters, rinse the surface with clean water.
- Clean, degrease and remove old non-stick coatings from previously painted surfaces.
- To verify the compatibility of the new coating with the old one, it is recommended to perform a test coating on an area of 1 m².
- Application Conditions
- Apply to a pre-prepared substrate in stable and dry weather, the minimum air temperature for application is 5°C, the temperature of the coated substrate must be 3°C above the dew point, while the temperature and relative humidity of the air must be measured near the coated substrate.
- The substrate temperature must not be higher than 40°C. The relative humidity of the air must not be higher than 75%.
- The optimal temperature for applying the paint is 18 - 23 °C and relative air humidity 40 - 70%.
- Lower temperature and higher relative humidity during application and drying and too thick layer of the applied film significantly slow down the drying and hardening of the paint film.
- Work Progress
- Before use, the contents are thoroughly mixed and diluted as necessary.
- 1x coating with formex na pozink S 2003 paint.
- It dries at a temperature of around 20°C.
- Drying is possible speed up by soaking up to 80°C.
- The air-dried coating can be sprayed with synthetic or nitrocellulose enamel in just 1 hour, the optimal thickness of one layer is 35 - 40 micrometers.
- 1 to 2 coats of enamel with industrol universal S 2013, industrol plus S 2071 or industrol profi U 2129.
- Method of Application
Spray, brush, roller
