Products in Water Treatment Chemicals: Metal Removal

DelPAC® XG (Aluminum Chlorohydrate) is a highly effective coagulant that is used in water and wastewater treatment. DelPAC® XG is proven to be an excellent option for removing organic matter, TSS, and copper. It is known for its high concentration and basicity, making it effective in removing organic matter and performing well over a wide pH range. This product meets the standards set by the American Water Works Association Standard B408-18 and complies with the health effects requirements of NSF/ANSI/CAN 60, with a maximum recommended dosage of 250 mg/L.

H-PAC® 8023F is a highly effective cationic coagulant for use in industrial and municipal water and wastewater applications for the removal of turbidity, color, suspended solids, phosphorus and metals. It should be stored and handled in suitable non-corrosive materials such as fiberglass, reinforced plastic, PTFE, PVC/CPVC, rubber lined steel or polyethylene.

Accepta® Corrosperse 84 is a safe, non-toxic alternative to ammoniated citric acid for precommission cleaning and poses minimal effluent disposal problems.

TIGG CAT is a light colored, high capacity, get type sulfonated polystyrene cation resin supplied in the sodium form as moist, touch uniform spherical beads. TIGG CAT is intended for use in water softening applications.

TIGG ANI is a high capacity anion resin usually supplied in a chloride form and is used in all types of deionization systems and chemical processing applications. TIGG ANI has capacity subject to influent water chemistry and may be used on a oncethrough basis to polish metals. Knowledge of operating conditions such as pH, dissolved solids, alkalinity, hardness, etc. is beneficial.

Zeolita Natural ZN AQUA® 8-16 mm are very large granules for the largest of filters, ideal for pond filtration systems. Also for the construction of natural swimming pools, these sizes are the perfect substrate for aquatic plants. It can also be used for the transportation of live fish to control ammonia levels. It is a natural Zeolite, Clinoptilolite type, dried at 350°C, milled and sieved.

Ecologix Environmental Systems PTR-1 is a basic thiocarbonate organic compound that forms organo-metallic precipitates.

Ecologix Environmental Systems PSB-9 is a liquid fomulation (thiocarbonate / Sulfide blend) designed for the reduction of hexavalent chromium and the removal of heavy metals from wastewater in one step and is a key component of an overall heavy metal removal program. Replaces sodium metabisulfite, hydrosulfite and bisulfite. Produces significantly less sludge, requires little or no coagulation (is a self coagulating product) and is user friendly (pourable and pumpable). It is a non-toxic replacement and is environmentally friendly.

Ecologix Environmental Systems PDB-28 is a blend with inorganic coagulant.

Zeolita Natural ZN AQUA® 2-5 mm are larger granules, ideal for aquarium filters, or to form bottom layer in larger swimming pool filters and water treatment filters. It is perfect for live fish transportation to control ammonia levels. It can also be used in the construction of natural swimming pools which use aquatic plants to filter the water. It is a natural Zeolite, Clinoptilolite type, dried at 350°C, milled and sieved.

TIGG ARM is an activated alumina promoted with a proprietary additive. This combination has been engineered for enhanced arsenic removal from water. ARM has arsenic capacities of two to three time greater than unpromoted activated alumina. ARM’s capacity for As(III) is about 40% its capacity for As(V). Oxidation is recommended to assist As(III) removal.

TIGG MRM is a unique carbonaceous adsorbent manufactured in high temperature kilns, similar to activated carbons. This product is used in liquid phase applications. The product is made up of carbon and hydroxyapatite resulting in a distinctive surface which adsorbs organic molecules and sorbs many inorganic ions through several potential mechanisms. Metals removal with this product results in a waste where the metals remain bound and will pass leaching tests. This product is superior for applications where high hardness would render cation exchange resins economically unattractive.

Ecologix Environmental Systems PTB-50 is a thiocarbonate, proprietary formulation designed as a non-toxic precipitant of heavy metals from industrial process wastewaters, including metals from chelated/complexed environments. It is a powerful replacement for commonly used toxic DTC/carbamate-type products. When compared to such products, tests show that PTB-50 has twice the precipitating activity at a similar dosage.

Ecologix Environmental Systems PDB-2 is an organic liquid precipitant (sodium dimethyldithio carbamate) formulated for precipitating heavy metals, particularly chelated and complexed ions, in process and other wastewater. The precipitating reaction forms insoluble organometallic compounds with minimal sludge generation. This product contains no disulfides.
