PHENODUR® VPR 1740/50WA is a chemical family member of phenols and phenolics that is used in many different industries as a flexible binder and crosslinking agent. It is excellent at bonding and assembly in the automotive and transportation industries, especially in transportation assembly. This product stands out among adhesives and sealants for building and construction because it works well for construction adhesives. It also works well for craft and hobby projects and DIY and consumer repair adhesives. Its importance encompasses adhesives used in furniture manufacture, consumer products, industrial and assembly manufacturing, textile and footwear, and vehicle assembly.

Silquest™ A-1871 Epoxy Silane is a gamma-Glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilane. Acts as adhesion promoter. This epoxy functional silane provides outstanding chemical resistance, mechanical properties, improved adhesion to glass and metal substrates. It also provides crosslinking of waterborne latexes and dispersions; acrylic, styrene acrylic or other copolymers, polyurethane or epoxy dispersions. Has enhanced electrical properties of epoxy based electronic encapsulants and packaging materials, resulting from improved bonding between resin, substrate or filler. Improved wet adhesion reduces the risk of semiconductor or integrated circuit failure as a result of water ingress or surface corrosion. It also has improved dry adhesion and tensile strength. Use of epoxy silane may avoid the yellowing sometimes seen when amino functional adhesion promoters are used and it also has improved shelf stability over aminosilane alternatives. It is used in caulking applications.

Silquest™ Y-9627 is secondary aminofunctional bis-silanes. This category of silanes is generally useful to consider for a broad range of applications to promote adhesion in coatings, adhesives and sealants between organic polymers and glass, metal, wood or cast plastic substrates. Typically, they can function as coupling agents to particulate mineral fillers in composites, as in foundry molds and cores, to improve mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural strengths. These property improvements have been maintained in the presence of aggressive environments, such as high temperature and high humidity conditions.

CoatOSil™ MP 200 silane promotes adhesion in a broad range of applications via multiple epoxy and silane groups on each oligomer chain. Its gamma-gylcidoxy propyl epoxide ring reacts with many organic groups while its alkoxy silane groups promote adhesion to inorganic substrates. Condensation of its silanol groups can also provide crosslinks between polymer chains.

Silquest™ A-1110 silane, a primary amino silane, is a candidate for use as an adhesion promoter in silane modified urethane (SPUR* prepolymer), filled silicone, epoxy and 2 part urethane adhesives and sealants.

ZINPLEX 15 contains 13.2% zinc metal ions that can be used to crosslink aqueous carboxylated polymers. This crosslinking or complexing takes place as the coating dries at either room temperature or under forced dry or higher baking conditions.

Silquest™ A-178 silane is a coupling agent for glass fiber and particulate filler reinforced composites. It is a 100% active methacrylamido functional silane that may be used to promote adhesion between a wide range of resins and substrates and reinforcements. It is also useful as a monomer in the synthesis of organic polymers. It functions as a moisture- activated crosslinking agent.

Silquest™ A-Link 25 silane and Silquest™ A-Link 35 silane are unique isocyanate functional silanes. The isocyanate functionality exhibits the typical reactivity of an alkyl isocyanate and will react with most active hydrogen containing compounds. The silane portion of these products can then crosslink with each other or be used to adhere to a variety of substrates.
