It offers improved thermal stability and performs better at higher temperatures than standard ETFE, with a maximum operating temperature of 200ºC. Its enhanced stress crack resistance, abrasion resistance, and mechanical strength make it suitable for ultra-thin layer insulation in vehicles and aircraft where reducing carbon footprint and increasing fuel efficiency is important.

These grades are high molecular-weight homopolymers with excellent thermal stability. The processes used to make CD127E do not use ammonium salts of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), making them an environmentally friendly option. They have been developed for paste extrusion into tapes, tubes, pipe liners, and coated wires, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial applications.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® PTFE G155 is a virgin granular PTFE homopolymer. It is a fine powder grade that can be used for molding, but is mainly intended as a feedstock for making filled compounds. Its properties allow for minimal insulation thickness while also tolerating a wide range of temperatures (-180°C to 260°C) compared to other insulators.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® PTFE CD141E is a white, free-flowing powder made by coagulating an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene. The homopolymer CD141E has a medium molecular weight and is not produced using perfluorooctanoic acid ammonium salts (PFOA). This product has been developed for paste extrusion into tapes, tubes, pipe liners, and coated wires.

Resin properties keep the insulation thickness to a minimum while tolerating a wider range of temperatures (-180 °C to 260 °C) than other insulators.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ PFA EA-2000 is a perfluoro resin which has been functionalized to include an adhesive group within the polymer backbone. The perfluoro backbone gives the material excellent electrical characteristics, and heat and chemical resistance, while the adhesive functionality facilitates adhesion to other materials in a one-step process, without the need for surface treatment or a separate adhesive layer. Example materials include glass cloth, polyimide, or various metals. This grade is semi-commercialized and may be available upon request. This material is supplied as pellets and packaged in 25kg plastic bags.

FluoroGrip® F (HD-FEP) Teflon® is made from high molecular weight resin for applications where chemical resistance, high flex life and stress-crack-resistant performance are required.

FluoroGrip® -P- PTFE is an oxy-fluoropolymer of polytetrafluoroethylene modified to incorporate hydroxyl groups with an acrylic or silicone pressure sensitive adhesive.
