Added features of this grade include: Lower Thermal Expansion, Improved Hydrolytic Stability, Higher Strength to Weight Ratio and Higher Temperature Performance vs. ABS. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. PEI compounds, based on SABIC's inherently flame-retardant ULTEM™ resins, provide low thermal expansion, high temperature performance, excellent strength-to-weight ratio, high modulus and low creep.

Added features of this grade include: Higher Stiffness vs. glass fiber, Higher Strength, Higher Temperature Performance and Higher Throughput compared to ABS and PPE, as well as Smooth Surface Finish. This halogen-free flame retardant resin is EN45545 R1 HL3 and R27 HL2 compliant and an ideal candidate for train interior applications (category R1). It also meets requirements of NFPA-130a

XHT5146 is a high flow, high heat polycarbonate copolymer with a haze onset of 185C. It is available in a range of opaque colors.

SABIC's Specialties Business EXTEM™ Resin XH2315 is a reinforced, 30% glass fiber-filled amorphous thermoplastic polyimide resin that offers an extremely high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 267°C. It features excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties up to the highest temperatures, as well as very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material. It is also inherently flame retardant, achieving UL94 V0 ratings at 0.75 mm and V0, 5VA at 1.0 mm and 1.5 - 1.65 mm. This material is RoHS compliant and is available in natural and black colors with a transparent amber base.
