VISIOMER® Terra C13-MA (methacrylic ester 13.0) is a specialty monomer that offers enhanced water repellency and improved resistance against polar solvents. It is commonly employed to increase the hydrophobicity of resins, making them more resistant to water and other polar substances. This particular monomer is derived from raw materials obtained from natural oils, highlighting its environmentally friendly nature. VISIOMER® Terra C13-MA finds applications in various industries including adhesives and sealants, coatings, construction, oil and gas, paper, personal care, and healthcare.

Dynasylan® SIVO 110 stands as a versatile, virtually VOC-free, water-borne sol-gel system. It integrates organofunctional silanes with nanoscale SiO2 particles. This product, available as an opaque to milky, colorless to slightly yellow, low-viscosity liquid, can be diluted in water and common organic solvents. Dynasylan® SIVO 110 features reactive silanol groups and Si-bonded epoxy-based organic functionalities.

AEROSIL® R 974 is hydrophobic fumed silica grades treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recommended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

Dynasylan® SILBOND® HT-28A is a milky-white, low-viscosity pre-hydrolyzed ethyl polysilicate hybrid binder, boasting a silica content ranging from 32.5 to 33.5% (as SiO2 ). This silica content arises from a blend of TEOS-derived silica and other components. This formulation is tailored for use in two-component inorganic zinc-rich primers. The product brings forth enhanced toughness and exceptional performance in high-temperature scenarios. The heightened toughness results directly from the increased silica content in contrast to an ethyl polysilicate binder.
